Due to different monitor resolutions and lighting, you may notice a slight difference in color, as each handmade rug is unique to the artisan who wove it. These variations are not considered defects.

When you unroll your new rug, you may see some creases and bunching in the pile and around the corners. These waves will flatten within 2-3 weeks as you begin to use your new rug. To help flatten your rug, you can try back rolling, placing heavy objects on affected areas, or using heat as a last resort. Back rolling involves rolling the carpet out, then rolling it back up reversely with the backside up, and letting it sit for a day or two. Placing heavy furniture or objects on affected areas can also help flatten the rug, and if the corners are sticking up, you can curl them back and place heavy objects on them. As a last resort, you can place the rug over a cleared concrete or area like a driveway or sidewalk, allowing it to absorb the sun's heat for up to two hours. If a large concrete patch is not accessible, you can flip the rug over and use a hair dryer on affected areas, holding it 7 to 12 inches away and using a medium setting.

When that inevitable "oops" happens, simply place your area rug in the washing machine with cold water on the gentle cycle (do not use bleach). We recommend line drying your rug or using the air-only drying cycle.
